The Drama Desk Awards has announced the presenters for its 70th annual ceremony. Hosted by Marla Mindelle, this year’s Drama Desk Awards will pay tribute to the New York theater scene with the organization’s largest awards ceremony ever: the 2026 Drama Desk Awards will feature the most Drama Desk winners and nominees of past and present ever assembled for the ceremony.
During the 2026 Drama Desk Awards, past winners Raúl Esparza (who previously announced the Drama Desk Awards nominations alongside Helen J Shen), Norbert Leo Butz, Christopher Fitzgerald, Donna McKechnie, Beth Leavel, BD Wong, Doug Wright, Bess Wohl, Robin de Jesús, Jenn Colella, Ethan Slater, Javier Muñoz and Nikiya Mathis will return as presenters, among others. Past nominees Daniel Breaker, Shen, Whitney White, Toni-Leslie James, Alex Brightman, Hunter Foster, Lea DeLaria, Zhailon Levingston and John Ortiz will also present awards during the ceremony. Additional presenters will include Constance Wu, Whitney Leavitt, Jasmine Cephas-Hones, Ali Louis Bourzgui, Liisi LaFontaine, Solea Pfeiffer, Ann Harada and David Zayas.
The full list of presenters is subject to change. Additional presenters will be announced prior to the ceremony.
The 70th annual Drama Desk Awards will take place at the Town Hall on May 17. “Ragtime” and “The Balusters” lead Broadway with the most nominations — eight each — while Off-Broadway musicals “Beau” and “Mexodus” have ten nominations each. Former Disney Theatrical Productions president Tom Schumacher will be honored with the Harold S. Prince Award for lifetime achievement, while the William Wolf Award will honor songwriters Richard Maltby Jr. and David Shire. See the full list of nominees for more.
