Scott Rudin is bringing Kenneth Lonergan’s play “The Waverly Gallery” to Broadway next season.

The revival will star Elaine May, Lucas Hedges and Michael Cera, in his third Lonergan play, including “Lobby Hero.” Lila Neugebauer will direct, marking her first time directing a Broadway show.

It will play the John Golden Theatre beginning Sept. 25,2018 with an opening night on Oct. 25, 2018.

The show’s creative team includes David Zinn on scenic design, Ann Roth on costume design and Brian MacDevitt on lighting design.

Rudin and Lonergan previously worked together on “This is Our Youth” on Broadway and the film “Margaret.”

“The Waverly Gallery” is a memory play that centers on a spirited grandmother’s battle against Alzheimer’s as she fights to remain independent.

The play, which was a 2001 Pulitzer Prize finalist, premiered at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in August 1999 and opened Off Broadway at the Promenade Theater in March 2000.
