The entire original cast of “The Book of Mormon” on Broadway will reunite at the 79th annual Tony Awards. Tony nominees Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells and Rory O’Malley and Tony winner Nikki M. James will appear in a performance introduced by co-writers and Tony winners Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez.
After a fire damaged parts of the Eugene O’Neill Theatre — which has been home to “The Book of Mormon” throughout its entire Broadway run — on May 4, shows were canceled for three weeks pending repairs. Performances of the musical are set to resume on May 27 at 7 p.m.
“The Book of Mormon” celebrated its 15th anniversary this year, having officially opened on March 24, 2011. Also scheduled to commemorate the milestone is the previously announced “Magical Mormon Mystery Week,” in which multiple original cast members will make cameo appearances in performances from June 9-14.
In addition to “The Book of Mormon,” performers at the 2026 Tonys will include the companies of “The Lost Boys,” “Schmigadoon!,” “Titaníque,” “Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York),” “Cats: The Jellicle Ball,” “Ragtime” and “The Rocky Horror Show.” More performances will be announced in the coming week.
The 2026 Tonys will return to Radio City Music Hall at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on June 7. The ceremony, hosted by Grammy Award winner P!NK, will be broadcast live via the CBS Television Network and Paramount+.
