Anna Pitera DeVito has been tapped to lead the Shubert Organization’s new in-house production marketing department. DeVito will work with clients in any theater — both Shubert and otherwise — to provide marketing support through all phases of their productions. DeVito’s new role will begin in July.

Currently working as the marketing director for “Some Like It Hot” and the recent “A Doll’s House” revival, DeVito was previously the global marketing director for “Dear Evan Hansen” at Stacey Mindich Productions. Before that, she was an account lead in-house at Serino Coyne.

DeVito will continue to work on the marketing strategy and integrated marketing campaign development for “Some Like It Hot” while taking on other clients. Her new role will allow for the integration of her expertise into the Shubert’s array of marketing and data amenities.

“Marketing directors have become vital to the success of every Broadway show,” Charles Flateman, executive vice president of The Shubert Organization, said in a statement. “Incorporating Anna’s skills into Shubert’s already robust team of marketing and ticketing experts allows us to provide a holistic approach and cost-effective array of marketing services to shows, both in Shubert houses and beyond, that was previously unheard of.”

The Shubert Organization is the largest theater owner on Broadway and the oldest theater company in the country. Under the leadership of chairman and CEO Robert E. Wankel, the organization owns and operates 17 Broadway theaters, six Off-Broadway venues and the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia.
