The American Theatre Wing has appointed seven new members to the nonprofit’s advisory committee. The new members are Tony Award-winning actor Kara Young, Tony-winning producer Eric Kuhn, Tony-nominated performer Shoshana Bean, host of NY1’s “On Stage” Frank DiLella, artist and entrepreneur Ashley Longshore, theater scholar Monica White Ndounou and media strategist Nick White.

The Wing is a national service organization that champions artists and theater professionals. It is the administrator of the Obie Awards as well as programs like the Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative, the Jonathan Larson Grants, the Gavin Creel Fellowships and more. The advisory committee weighs in on the Wing’s programs and partnerships.

Young is a two-time Tony winner, having won awards for her featured roles in 2024 for “Purlie Victorious” and in 2025 for “Purpose.” She is only the seventh person to win consecutive acting honors (and the first Black artist to do so).

The co-founder and co-CEO of Folk Media Group, Kuhn is also a three-time Tony winner, having served on the producing teams of “The Inheritance,” “A Strange Loop” and the 2019 revival of “Oklahoma!” Bean received Tony nominations for her featured turns in 2022’s “Mr. Saturday Night” and 2024’s “Hell’s Kitchen.”

Entertainment journalist DiLella has won multiple Emmy Awards for his work as the longstanding host of “On Stage” on Spectrum News NY1. Longshore is best known for her work in the pop art field. She is the owner of Manhattan’s Longshore Studio Gallery and the namesake of the Ashley Longshore Excellence in the Arts Award administered by YoungArts, which recognizes talent in the fields of photography, visual art and musical theater. A scholar of Black theater and film studies, Ndounou is the founder and president of the Craft Institute, which helps curate inclusive arts ecosystems globally and convenes the annual International Black Theatre Summit. White leads arts and culture partnerships at Meta, overseeing strategic collaborations across Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Messenger, WhatsApp and Meta AI.

Led by president and CEO Heather Hitchens, the Wing presents the annual Tony Awards ceremony with the Broadway League.
