The producers of the upcoming Broadway mounting of “The Queen of Versailles” have revealed the select performances at which Sherie Rene Scott will take center stage. As previously announced, the three-time Tony Award nominee will serve as standby to leading player Kristin Chenoweth; Scott will go on in the role for specific pre-planned performances.

The Michael Arden-helmed musical, which features a score by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Lindsey Ferrentino, will begin previews on Oct. 8 and open on Nov. 9 at the St. James Theatre. Scott will perform the role of Jackie on Nov. 25, both performances on Dec. 3 and on Jan. 20, 2026.

“The Queen of Versailles” will mark a homecoming for Scott, not just as her first Broadway appearance since the 2016 revival of “The Front Page,” but as a return to the St. James, where Scott made her Broadway debut in 1993’s “The Who’s Tommy” as Sally Simpson. Scott’s additional Broadway credits include Tony-nominated performances in “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” and the autobiographical “Everyday Rapture,” the latter of which also earned Scott a Best Book of a Musical Tony nomination. Her additional Main Stem acting credits include “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Aida,” “Rent” and “Grease.” Scott’s Off-Broadway résumé comprises “The Last Five Years,” “Debbie Does Dallas,” “The Portuguese Kid,” “Hamlet,” “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Whorl Inside a Loop,” the latter of which was also penned by Scott.

Based on Lauren Greenfield’s 2012 documentary of the same name, “The Queen of Versailles” follows the rise and fall of Orlando billionaires Jackie and David Siegel.

In addition to Chenoweth and Scott, the cast of “Queen of Versailles” will include F. Murray Abraham as David Siegel, Melody Butiu as Sofia, Stephen DeRosa as John, Greg Hildreth as Gary, Tatum Grace Hopkins as Jonquil, Isabel Keating as Debbie and Nina White as Victoria. Casting is by Stephen Kopel and Carrie Gardner of C12 Casting.

“The Queen of Versailles” is being produced on Broadway by Bill Damaschke, Seaview, Sonia Friedman and Chenoweth.
