Sabrina Carpenter, who starred in the television series “Girl Meets World,” will make her Broadway debut as Cady Heron in “Mean Girls.”

Carpenter will join the production for a 14-week engagement beginning March 10 and ending on June 7. She takes over the role from original cast member Erika Henningsen, who departs the production on Feb. 22.

Understudies will be covering the role of Cady in the interim.

In addition to her role on “Girl Meets World,” Carpenter has starred in “The Hate U Give” and “Tall Girl.” She is also a singer/songwriter, with two gold singles, “Thumbs” and “Why.”

She joins new principal cast members Laura Leigh Turner as Karen Smith, Olivia Kaufmann as Janis Sarkisian and Chad Burris as Damian Hubbard.

Carpenter will be performing seven performances a week from April 1 through June 7. From March 10 through March 31, she will perform all evening performances, but not at 2 p.m. matinees on Wednesdays or Saturday.
