Original Broadway cast recording of ‘Lempicka’ now available digitally

The album features the Tony Award-nominated performances of Eden Espinosa and Amber Iman.

The cast album for Broadway’s “Lempicka” is now available digitally. The Sony Masterworks release was previously announced for a May 29 distribution. A physical album, originally scheduled for release on July 5, will now be available on Aug. 9. 

The album captures the original score by Matt Gould (music) and Carson Kreitzer (lyrics). The recording preserves the performances of principal actors Eden Espinosa as Tamara de Lempicka, Amber Iman as Rafaela, Andrew Samonsky as Tadeusz Lempicki, George Abud as Marinetti, Natalie Joy Johnson as Suzy Solidor, Zoe Glick as Kizette, Nathaniel Stampley as the Baron and Beth Leavel as the Baroness.

Also heard on the album is the musical’s ensemble: Alex Aquilino, Lauren Blackman, Stephen Brower, Kyle Brown, Holli’ Conway, Abby Matsusaka, Jimin Moon, Khori Michelle Petinaud, Ximone Rose, Nicholas Ward, Veronica Fiaoni, Mary Page Nance, Julio Rey, Michael Milkanin and Mariand Torres.

Directed by Rachel Chavkin and featuring a book by Gould and Kreitzer, “Lempicka” chronicles the work, politics and relationships of 20th century art deco painter Tamara de Lempicka. The musical opened on April 14 at the Longacre Theatre and closed on May 19. The production received three 2024 Tony Award nominations, including nods for Espinosa and Iman.
