Music Theatre International has acquired the worldwide licensing rights to the musical adaptation of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
The musical features a score by Marc Shaiman, with lyrics by Shaiman and Scott Wittman and a book by David Greig. It ran at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Broadway from March 28, 2017 through Jan. 14, 2018.
The Broadway production was preceded by a West End run and followed by U.S. national tour which began in September 2018 and continues in January 2020.
