‘Lempicka’ Broadway premiere completes casting

The new musical will open at the Longacre Theatre in April.

Full casting has been announced for “Lempicka.” The previously announced musical is slated to begin previews on March 19 and open on April 14 at Broadway’s Longacre Theatre. 

The ensemble for the Rachel Chavkin-directed musical will include Alex Aquilino, Lauren Blackman, Stephen Brower, Kyle Brown, Holli’ Conway, Abby Matsusaka, Jimin Moon, Khori Michelle Petinaud, Ximone Rose and Nicholas Ward. 

Mariand Torres will serve as standby for the roles of Tamara de Lempicka and Baroness. Rounding out the company are swings Veronica Fiaoni, Michael Milkanin, Mary Page Nance and Julio Rey.

They join the previously announced Eden Espinosa in the titular role of Tamara de Lempicka, Amber Iman as Rafaela, Andrew Samonsky as Taduesz Lempicki, George Abud as Marinetti, Natalie Joy Johnson as Suzy Solidor, Zoe Glick as Kizette, Nathaniel Stampley as the Baron and Beth Leavel as the Baroness. Casting is by the Telsey Office.

With a book co-written by Carson Kreitzer and Matt Gould, “Lempicka” follows the life of Polish art-deco painter Tamara de Lempicka. The personal, professional and political turmoil of Lempicka’s life are examined through a score featuring music by Gould and lyrics by Kreitzer.

“Lempicka” is being produced by Seaview and Jenny Niederhoffer.
