‘KPOP’ pushes Broadway opening to Nov. 27

The new musical “KPOP,” which began previews on Oct.13 at the Circle in the Square Theatre, will now open on Nov. 27. The production was originally slated to open on Nov. 20, but adjusted as one of the principal performers will be out due to COVID-19.

Festivities will still be held on Nov. 20 to celebrate the opening of the show that features a book by Jason Kim with music and lyrics by Helen Park and Max Vernon.

“KPOP” is directed by Teddy Bergman and features choreography by Jennifer Weber, scenic design by Gabriel Hainer Evansohn, costume design by Clint Ramos and Sophia Choi, lighting design by Jiyoun Chang, sound design by Peter Fitzgerald and Andrew Keister, projection design by Peter Nigrini, hair and wig Design by Mia M. Neal and make-up design by Joseph Dulude II and Suki Tsujimoto.

The cast stars Luna, Julia Abueva, BoHyung, Major Curda, Jinwoo Jung, Jiho Kang, Amy Keum, James Kho, Marina Kondo, Eddy Lee, Joshua Lee, Jully Lee, Lina Rose Lee, Timothy H. Lee, Abraham Lim, Kate Mina Lin, Aubie Merrylees, Min, Patrick Park, Zachary Noah Piser, Kevin Woo and John Yi.“KPOP” is produced on Broadway by Tim Forbes and Joey Parnes.
