Jessica Lee Goldyn to take over as Nini in ‘Moulin Rouge!’ on Broadway

Jessica Lee Goldyn will play the role of Nini in “Moulin Rouge!” starting Feb. 22, producers Carmen Pavlovic and Bill Damaschke said Thursday. Goldyn takes over the role from Robyn Hurder, an original Broadway cast member who was Tony-nominated for her portrayal of Nini.

Jessica Lee Goldyn will play the role of Nini in “Moulin Rouge!” starting Feb. 22, producers Carmen Pavlovic and Bill Damaschke said Thursday.

Goldyn takes over the role from Robyn Hurder, an original Broadway cast member who was Tony-nominated for her portrayal of Nini. Goldyn previously appeared on Broadway in “A Chorus Line” and in the television series “Smash.”

Hurder will play her final performance as Nini on Feb. 20.

The production recently welcomed Eric Anderson in the role of Harold Zidler. Anderson took over the role from original cast member Danny Burstein.

“Moulin Rouge!” reopened at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on Sept. 24, 2021. The musical won the Tony Award for Best Musical in September 2021.
