The Tony Awards have announced that Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Renée Elise Goldsberry have signed on to announce the awards body’s 2024 nominations. The Tony-winning duo will reveal the nominations for the 77th annual Tony Awards on April 30 at 8:30 a.m. on CBS Mornings. As previously announced, the Tony Awards ceremony, hosted by Ariana DeBose, will take place on June 16 at David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Ferguson won the 2022 Tony as Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play for his turn as Mason Marzac in the revival of “Take Me Out.” Since making his Main Stem debut in the 1998 revival of “On the Town,” Ferguson has appeared in 2005’s “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” and the 2016 solo comedy “Fully Committed.” His performance as Mitchell Pritchett on the ABC comedy “Modern Family” earned him five consecutive Emmy Award nominations.

For her turn as “Hamilton”’s original Angelica Schuyler, Goldsberry won the 2016 Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical Tony and earned a 2021 Emmy nomination for the DisneyPlus live capture. Goldsberry’s additional Main Stem credits include turns as Nala in “The Lion King,” Nettie in “The Color Purple” and Kate in “Good People.” She was the final performer to play Mimi in “Rent” on Broadway. She is featured as Wickie in the Netflix series “Girls5Eva.”

To be eligible for the 2024 Tony Awards, Broadway productions must have officially opened by April 25 and meet all eligibility requirements as described in the Tony Awards’ rules and regulations.

The Tony Awards are presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
