The slate of nominees for the 2025 Tony Awards includes a slew of artists — particularly those on the creative team — who have been previously nominated (often multiple times) and some who have also won. Among the nominated choreographers alone, 83 percent have received at least one prior nomination; of those former nominees, 60 percent have previously taken home a Tony.

With that experience comes a toolbox of wisdom collected along the way. At the 2025 Tony Awards’ Meet the Nominees press event, several of this season’s nominees chatted with Broadway News about how past productions, former collaborators and prior experiences have informed and influenced the work with which they are currently represented on the Main Stem.
