How to engage international tourists as New York and New Jersey host the world’s most watched sporting event

For the first time in 32 years, New York will host several games of the FIFA World Cup this summer, including the final match. In June and July, international tourists Manhattan once saw in abundance are expected to return; and while they’re coming for soccer, there are days between games, limited tickets to each match and game-skipping family members traveling in tow.
