Broadway’s “Hamilton” will put on a special performance as the halftime show during the Sept. 13 New York Giants game. The halftime show is part of the team’s season opener against the Dallas Cowboys at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
Former “Hamilton” cast members will perform a medley of songs from the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, arranged by Alex Lacamoire, “Hamilton”’s arranger, Tony-winning orchestrator, music supervisor, music director and conductor, and Don P. Roberts, creator of the touring theatrical marching band production “DRUMLine Live.” Tony Award nominee Nicholas Christopher will appear as Aaron Burr, with former cast members Mandy Gonzalez, Morgan Anita Wood and Candace Quarrels as the Schuyler sisters. Their performance will be accompanied by marching bands from Morgan State University and Penn State, along with percussionist Jaheim Lee.

The performance is part of a game day that will commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and honor first responders, service members and 9/11 family members. “The Star-Spangled Banner” will be performed by members of the New York City Police Department and the Fire Department of the City of New York. Players and coaches will wear commemorative pregame apparel.
“Hamilton” opened at Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre on Aug. 6, 2015. It was nominated for 15 Tony Awards, winning 11, including Best Musical. “Hamilton” is produced on Broadway by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman and the Public Theater.
