Overall Broadway box office grosses remained relatively steady in Week 51 of the 2025-2026 season, despite a new show beginning. For the week ending May 17, the overall gross dipped just 0.3% to $38,166,527. Capacity dropped by 1.5% and attendance by 0.5%. Of note this week, “The Book of Mormon” canceled all performances following a fire at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre on May 4; it’s due to resume on May 27. Comedy special “Celebrity Autobiography” began previews at the Shubert Theatre on May 16, playing three shows in Week 51.

Compared to Week 51 of the 2024-2025 season, Broadway grosses are still down 12.3% overall from $43,501,430 the previous year. Attendance dropped 5.2% and capacity 3.6%, despite having the same number of productions running as the year prior; although “Celebrity Autobiography” only played three previews in Week 51 of the current season, whereas all shows last year were playing weeks of regular performances.
