Broadway’s overall box office numbers were on the rise in Week 52 of the 2025-2026 season. For the week ending May 24 — the last week of the season — the overall gross went up by 6.7% to $40,707,260. Attendance rose by 6.2%, and capacity by 4.3%. Notably, the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend fell within this week. “Death of a Salesman” had a planned seven-performance week, and “The Book of Mormon” had no performances due to a fire at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre. (They reopen on May 27.)

Compared to Week 52 of the previous season, though, overall box office grosses are down 8.2% from $44,351,676. Attendance and capacity are about equal, increasing by 0.1% and 0.6%, respectively. The number of productions and performances was the same in both seasons, but average paid admission for Week 52 of the 2025-2026 season was down by $10.89. Of note, last season at this time, “Othello” and “Good Night, and Good Luck” were still playing.
