Broadway box office numbers were down overall during Week 16 of the 2026-2027 season. For the week ending Sept. 13, the 26 running productions tallied a total gross of $25,019,859, representing a 4.7% decrease from the week prior. Attendance remained relatively steady, increasing by 1.4%, while capacity decreased just 0.3%. Of note, Labor Day weekend fell within Week 15, while the Rosh Hashanah holiday and the beginning of NYC Broadway Week (during which participating shows offer two-for-one ticket deals) both fell within Week 16.
Compared with Week 16 of the 2025-2026 season, Broadway was down overall. Grosses were 17% lower than in Week 16 of the previous season, which did have two more shows running. Attendance was 6.8% lower than during the same week of the season prior, while capacity remained relatively steady with a dip of 0.9%.
