“Diana” will release its cast album Sept. 24, about two months ahead of its first preview on Broadway.

The Netflix capture of the musical is scheduled to be released Oct. 1. The cast album was recorded with UMe, a division of Universal Music Group, and produced by “Diana” composer David Bryan and Ian Eisendrath, the show’s musical supervisor and arranger.

The cast album was originally scheduled to be released the summer of 2020, but was delayed by the pandemic. The cast recorded the album while filming the Netflix special last fall.

“Diana,” which features a book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro, music and lyrics by David Bryan and direction by Christopher Ashley, played nine preview performances before the Broadway shutdown.

The musical, starring Jeanna de Waal, Roe Hartrampf, Erin Davie and Judy Kaye, is scheduled to open at the Longacre Theatre on Nov. 17.
