Broadway grosses dropped to $15 million last week, as the number of running productions dwindled to 19.

That’s a $1.5 million drop from the previous week and the second lowest aggregate gross released by the Broadway League. Still, it comes with two fewer productions than the previous week, after the closure of “Slave Play” and “Girl from the North Country“ on Jan. 23.

The box office totals are on par with the industry’s total gross for the week ended Oct. 3, 2021, when 18 productions were running, according to a Broadway News analysis of previously undisclosed numbers. At that time, several shows were in the midst of restarting and were playing less than eight performances.

Capacity in the week ended Jan. 30 rose to 74%, one percentage point below the prior week’s numbers. Average ticket price fell to a low of $107.73, as several productions participate in discounted Broadway Week ticket promotions.
