Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has announced a Las Vegas theme for the 2024 iteration of “Broadway Bares.” “Broadway Bares: Hit the Strip” will be held, as previously announced, on June 23 at Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan. The fundraising event will offer a 9:30 p.m and midnight performance.

Frequent “Bares” performer Kellen Stancil will direct the evening, which features striptease-based choreography and burlesque-style musical performances, while Paula DeLuise will serve as associate director.

Newly announced are choreographers John Alix, Mike Baerga, Phil Colgan, Karla Puno Garcia, Billy Griffin, Amber Jackson, Jonathan Lee, Leo Moctezuma, Rachelle Rak, Michael Lee Scott and Maleek Washington.

Created in 1992 by Jerry Mitchell, “Bares” benefits Broadway Cares, providing meals, medication, health care and other services to those diagnosed with HIV/AIDS.

“Broadway Bares” is being executive produced by Mitchell and frequent “Bares” director, choreographer and performer Nick Kenkell.
