Broadway attendance grows slightly as season’s end draws near

For the week ending April 21, the 36 currently running shows grossed $34,650,614.

Broadway’s box office dipped slightly in terms of gross but nevertheless saw an uptick in admissions during week 48 of the 2023-2024 season. Total gross for the week ending April 21 was $34,650,614, a 2.5% decrease from the week ending April 14. The change in attendance was almost the same amount, but in the opposite direction. There were 2.4% more admissions to the Main Stem this past week than the week prior, tallying 299,107 attendances. Broadway theaters were filled to 91.5%, up a mere 0.6 percentage points from the previous week.
