Brandon Uranowitz to join the cast of ‘The Band’s Visit’

Brandon Uranowitz will take over the role of Itzik in “The Band’s Visit” beginning Oct. 9.

Uranowitz, a two-time Tony Award nominee, will replace John Cariani, who has been with the role since the 2016 off-Broadway production at the Atlantic Theater Company. Cariani’s last performance will be Sun., Oct. 7.

Uranowitz was last seen on Broadway in “Prince of Broadway,” and was Tony nominated for his roles in “Falsettos” and “An American in Paris.”

He will join a cast that includes Katrina Lenk, Sasson Gabay, Tony Award winner Ari’el Stachel, Etai Benson, Adam Kantor, Andrew Polk, Samir Shukry, Bill Army, Joseph Kamal, Rachel Prather, Jonathan Raviv, Sharone Sayegh, Kristen Sieh, Layan Elwazani, Pomme Koch, Ahmad Maksoud, Jodi McFadden and James Rana.
