The Tony Awards has announced the return of its “First Impressions Cam,” to be hosted this year by Bonnie Milligan. Presented as a continued partnership with City National Bank, the live videos will feature Milligan interviewing winners of 2025 Tonys, capturing their initial reaction immediately following their acceptance speeches.
Milligan won the 2023 Best Featured Actress in a Musical Tony Award for her performance as Debra in “Kimberly Akimbo.” Milligan, who made her Broadway debut as Pamela in “Head Over Heels,” has also appeared at New York City Center Encores! in “Titanic,” “God Bless You Mr. Rosewater” and “Promenade,” as well on the first national tour of “Kinky Boots.” Milligan’s television credits include “Search Party,” “Escape at Dannemora” and several episodes in the upcoming third season of “And Just Like That.” This will mark Milligan’s first time taking on “First Impression” hosting duties.
“First Impressions” content will be available to view on the Tony Awards YouTube channel and social platforms via @TheTonyAwards.
Nominations for the 78th annual Tony Awards were announced on May 1. The previously announced awards ceremony will take place on June 8 at Radio City Music Hall. Cynthia Erivo will host the ceremony, which will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
The Tony Awards are being presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
