“Appropriate” has received an additional, final extension. The 2024 Tony Award-nominated revival of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ play will now conclude its run on June 30.

“Appropriate” began its run at the Hayes Theatre on Nov. 29, 2023, and opened on Dec. 18. Following a three-week extension there, the production moved its current home, the Belasco Theatre, where it was originally scheduled to run through June 23.

2024 Tony nominee Lila Neugebauer directs the play, which follows three adult siblings who reunite to finalize the estate of their late father, on the land of a former plantation. Emotions swell as the family uncovers secrets about their deceased patriarch’s past.

The revival’s cast is led by 2024 Tony nominees Sarah Paulson and Corey Stoll, with Michael Esper, Natalie Gold, Graham Campbell, Alyssa Emily Marvin, Lincoln Cohen and Everett Sobers. The production is currently nominated for eight Tony Awards.

“Appropriate” is produced by Ambassador Theatre Group, Amanda Dubois, Annapurna Theatre, Bad Robot Live, Runyonland, Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson and Bee Carrozzini, in association with Second Stage Theater.
