2025 Chita Rivera Awards to feature performances from ‘Boop!,’ ‘Gypsy’ and more

Tituss Burgess and Donna Murphy are among the stars scheduled to present awards at the annual ceremony honoring dance.

Performances and presenters have been announced for the 2025 Chita Rivera Awards. The previously announced event, honoring the best in dance, will be held at NYU’s Skirball Center on May 19 at 7:30pm.

The evening will feature performances from the new Broadway musical “Boop!” and the Main Stem revival of “Gypsy.” Also set to appear onstage will be performers of the Verdon Fosse Legacy and the Sing Harlem Choir.

Stars slated to present awards include Tituss Burgess, Donna Murphy, Savion Glover, Nathan Lee Graham, Lorna Luft, Stephanie Pope and Vy Higginsen.

As previously announced, the year’s Chita Rivera Awards will honor Ben Vereen with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

The mission of the Chita Rivera Awards is to celebrate dance and choreographic excellence, preserve notable dance history and recognize past, present and future talents, while promoting high standards in dance education and investing in the next generation.

The 2025 Chita Rivera Awards is being produced by Joe Lanteri, founder and executive director of the New York City Dance Alliance Foundation, Inc., in conjunction with Patricia Watt.
