This weekend, “Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)” will be carrying love itself across New York, via a series of events around the city tied to Valentine’s Day. “The show will bring its rom-com charm off the stage and into the city’s most iconic locations,” the show stated in a press release.

On Feb. 12, the Rink at Winter Village in Bryant Park will be playing songs from the musical from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

On Feb. 13 at 4:30 p.m., the cast will be performing at Grand Central’s Biltmore Room as part of a bigger Valentine’s Day celebration and speed-dating experience happening there.

On Feb. 14 at 6 p.m., the cast will also be doing a live performance at the Valentines Day vow-renewal ceremony taking place on the red steps in Times Square.

In partnership with Starbright Floral Design, each audience member at the evening performance of “Two Strangers” on Feb. 14 will also be given a complimentary rose as they leave the theater.

Finally, from Feb. 11 until Feb. 22, Serendipity 3 is offering a “Two Strangers”-inspired sundae, the “Love Is in the Air,” at its Times Square and Upper East Side locations. “Love Is in the Air” includes a piece of red velvet cake with cream cheese icing with chocolate and vanilla ice cream, topped by raspberry coulis, hot fudge, whipped cream, red velvet crumbs and two blue heart lollipops.

Serendipity 3 and “Two Strangers” have also partnered to create an “Ultimate NYC Valentine’s Getaway” contest. The package includes tickets to the Museum of Broadway, including its new exhibit “SO IN LOVE…WITH BROADWAY” and an overnight stay at the Kixby Hotel. Further details and entrance to the contest can be found at @twostrangersmusical on Instagram. The winner will be announced on Feb. 13.

“Two Strangers” tells the story of a young Irish man who makes an unexpected connection with his future sister-in-law prior to his estranged father’s New York wedding. Written and composed by Jim Barne and Kit Buchan and directed and choreographed by Tim Jackson, the musical stars Sam Tutty and Christiani Pitts.

The musical is produced by Kevin McCollum, Tim Johanson, Glass Half Full Productions and Jamie Wilson Productions.
