The new musical “Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)” has announced that Austin Colburn and Jane Larell Glover will be joining the two-hander as additional standbys. Original standbys Phoenix Best and Vincent Michael will remain with the production at the Longacre Theatre.
Written by Jim Barne and Kit Buchan and directed and choreographed by Tim Jackson, “Two Strangers” tells the story of Dougal, a young British man who comes to New York for the wedding of the father that abandoned him, and finds both hard truths and a deep connection in Robin, the sister of the bride. Colburn and Glover will stand by for leads Sam Tutty and Christiani Pitts, respectively.
“Two Strangers” marks Colburn’s Broadway debut. He performed off-Broadway most recently in Little Red Light Theatre’s musical “Fixing Frankie.” Glover has most recently served as dance captain and alternate on “SIX.”
“Two Strangers” began previews on Nov. 1, 2025, and opened on Nov. 20. It is produced by Kevin McCollum, Tim Johanson, Glass Half Full Productions and Jamie Wilson Productions.
