Tonys Awards announces 2026 ceremony date

Venue, nominations date and broadcast details have also been revealed.

The date is set for the 2026 Tony Awards. The 79th annual tribute to the Broadway season will take place on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall. The event will be broadcast live across coasts on CBS from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. A livestream is set for Paramount+ Premium, and Paramount Essential subscribers will be able to view the awards show on demand on June 8.

The Tonys eligibility cut-off date for the 2025-2026 season is April 26 for every Broadway production that meets the other requirements for eligibility. Nominations will be announced on May 5.

Major category winners of the 2025 Tony Awards included Best Musical winner “Maybe Happy Ending” and Best Play recipient “Purpose.” 

A 2026 Tony Awards host and additional details are still to be announced. The Tonys ceremony is produced by Tony Awards Productions, a collaborative effort from the American Theatre Wing and the Broadway League.
