The Tony Awards have announced a partnership with Capital One and Mastercard, which will serve as the event’s new payment partners. This will be the payment providers’ first partnership with the awards, which were sponsored by American Express in 2024 and 2025.
Capital One Mastercard cardholders will be able to purchase tickets during an exclusive presale period on Ticketmaster, available while supplies last from March 31 through April 14. Eligible Capital One Entertainment cardholders may also purchase exclusive packages, including access to a preshow reception and seating, beginning in April.
“At Capital One, our goal is to unlock unforgettable experiences that bring our cardholders closer to the things they love most, and theater has long been a top passion area,” said Monica Weaver, Capital One’s head of branded card partnerships and experiences. “We’re thrilled to partner with Mastercard to bring our Broadway enthusiasts closer to the stage and offer exclusive tickets to the industry’s most anticipated event of the year, the Tony Awards.”
In a joint statement, Broadway League president Jason Laks and American Theatre Wing president and CEO Heather Hitchens added, “We are thrilled to welcome Capital One and Mastercard as an official partner of the Tony Awards. Experiencing Broadway’s biggest night live is an exceptional opportunity, and we look forward to welcoming even more theater enthusiasts to this extraordinary celebration.”
