Sophie Carmen-Jones and Jacqueline B. Arnold have booked a return stay at Cook County Jail. The two former “Chicago” stars will reprise their performances as Velma Kelly and Matron “Mama” Morton, respectively, beginning on Jan. 26 at the Ambassador Theatre. Arnold, a fellow “Moulin Rouge!” alum, created the role of Anita in the Broadway musical “Smash,” alongside Hurder. Arnold has also performed on Broadway in “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.”
“Chicago” also currently stars Kate Baldwin as Roxie Hart (through Feb. 1), Tam Mutu as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
Directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, “Chicago” features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Ebb.
