Preview performances of “Skeleton Crew” will now begin six days later than scheduled after breakthrough COVID-19 cases were discovered in the company, Manhattan Theatre Club announced Monday.

The production’s first preview is now scheduled for Dec. 27 and opening night has been pushed back to Jan. 19, 2022. The production was originally scheduled to begin performances Dec. 21, with an opening night set for Jan. 12.

“Skeleton Crew,” written by Dominique Morisseau and directed by Ruben Santiago-Hudson, will play the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Featured in the cast are Phylicia Rashad, Chanté Adams, Joshua Boone, Brandon J. Dirden and Adesola Osakalumi. The production is currently scheduled to run through Feb. 20, 2022.
