Rockefeller Center will return as a partner of the Tony Awards in 2026. The shopping and dining center, which is located around the corner from the 79th annual Tonys venue Radio City Music Hall, has been named the “official destination of the Tony Awards,” and will serve as the site of several exclusive Tony events.

The pre-ceremony red carpet will be held at Rockefeller Center. The Tony Nominee Luncheon, presented by Cunard, will be held at Rockefeller’s Rainbow Room, and the after party, presented by City National Bank, will be held at the Rink Level on Rockefeller Plaza.

The after party will also feature a takeover by numerous Rockefeller Center restaurants: NARO, Jupiter, 5 Acres and Smith and Mills will offer special menu items for attendees. Other Rockefeller vendors, including Shake Shack, Daily Provisions and Luke’s Lobster, will also be available to guests.

The Tony Awards have long been associated with Rockefeller Center; The Rainbow Room hosted the 20th annual Tonys in 1966 and, more recently, has become a regular location for the nominees luncheon beginning with the 71st Tonys in 2017. Radio City is the ceremony’s most frequent venue, having hosted the Tonys 22 times beginning in 1997 and including 2026. The ceremony returned to Radio City in 2025 after playing at the United Palace in 2023 and Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater in 2024.

Nominations for the 79th annual Tony Awards will be announced on May 5, followed by a ceremony at Radio City Music Hall on June 7. The ceremony, hosted by P!NK, will also be broadcast live simultaneously to both coasts on CBS, and livestreamed on Paramount+ beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
