An album featuring music from the Broadway revival of Samuel Beckett’s “Waiting for Godot,” as well as music inspired by it, was released on Nov. 14. Titled “Music from ‘Waiting For Godot,’” the album includes original compositions by Tony Award-nominated siblings Ben and Max Ringham. Wellfield Records released the album, which is available on all digital streaming platforms. Tony-nominated director Jamie Lloyd helms the revival, which is being headlined by Keanu Reeves as Estragon with Alex Winters as Vladimir.

“The inspiration for this music came from having the privilege of sitting in on the entire rehearsal period and witnessing the actors discover the piece,” said the Ringhams in a joint statement. “Each song title reflects a specific moment during our rehearsals when the musical idea was conceived. As always, Jamie’s input was crucial in shaping the sound. We sought music that would immerse the audience in the world they were about to enter.”

“Waiting for Godot” began previews on Sept. 13 and opened on Sept. 28 at the Hudson Theatre. The limited engagement is scheduled to run through Jan. 4, 2026. Joining Reeves and Winter in the cast are Brandon J. Dirden as Pozzo and Michael Patrick Thornton as Lucky, with Zaynn Arora and Eric Williams alternating in the role of Boy. The cast is completed by understudies Jesse Aaronson and Franklin Bongjio.

Ben and Max Ringham are multi-award-winning composers, sound designers and writers who have crafted sound designs and scores for over 200 productions. The Ringhams have created a number of original works including “Anna” in collaboration with Ella Hickson and “Exemplar” with Dan Rebellato. They received Tony nominations for their sound design of “Prima Facie” and Lloyd’s staging of “A Doll’s House.”
