For the week that included Thanksgiving 2025, Broadway’s overall box office boomed. During week 27 of the season, the 34 currently running productions took in $48,363,979, which is 19% greater than the week prior (when the same 34 productions were running) and 29.5% higher than the same week last season. Two of the 34 shows had nine-performance weeks.

It is worth noting that Thanksgiving 2024 fell in week 27 of the 2024-2025 Broadway season. When comparing week 27 of last season to week 28 of this season, this past week is still a 5% increase in gross over last year.

In terms of attendance, Broadway saw an increase of 2.6% over the week prior and a 3.1% decrease from week 28 last season. When compared to week 27 of last season (Thanksgiving week), there was a decrease of 4.8% in attendance.

Capacity was up 1.8% over the previous week and 5.9% over the same week last season. When compared to week 27 last season, capacity increased 3.68%.

“Hamilton” proved to be the biggest Thanksgiving winner, tallying a gross of $4,877,800. The Revolutionary War musical broke its own record for its highest weekly gross. “Wicked” was the first show to top $5 million, a milestone it hit for the week ending Dec. 29, 2024.
