Grosses analysis: ‘Beetlejuice’ and ‘Queen of Versailles’ start strong; ‘Hamilton’ breaks its own record

For the week ending Oct. 12, the 31 currently running productions grossed $39,416,736.

The week culminating in Indigenous People’s Day Weekend proved a boon for Broadway. During the week ending Oct. 12, Broadway’s box office jumped 25.4% in gross, taking in $39,416,736. Attendance tallied 276,625, which represents an 18% increase from the previous week (the week ending Oct. 5 when four fewer productions were on the boards), as well as the industry’s best-attended week since the week ending June 29. Capacity increased 4%, with 94.2% of available seats in theaters filled.
