The Commercial Theater Institute (CTI) has opened up applications for new leadership. A joint venture with the Broadway League and TDF, CTI offers training programs for aspiring theater producers and managers. Current leaders Sue Frost and Victoria Bailey, who brought CTI out of a four-year hiatus after the pandemic, have announced that they will be stepping down.

“In 2024 we took over leadership of CTI with the intention of reviving the program, but it was never our intention to take this on for the long haul,” said Frost and Bailey in a joint statement. “After two successful and fulfilling years, we feel that CTI is ready to be passed on to the next set of leadership.”

CTI is inviting interested candidates to offer proposals for new leadership. In its statement, the organization indicated that it is looking for an individual or individuals who “care deeply about the health of the commercial theater industry” and can “provide vision and strategy for the organization as well as leveraging industry connections, offering mentorship to participants and overseeing partnerships and operations.” The proposal process is open until March 6.
