Broadway’s box office posted significant gains for the week ending March 31. Across 32 shows, Broadway collectively grossed $37,095,505, a 30.1% increase from the week prior. Attendance for the 45th week of the 2023-2024 season enjoyed a notable bump as well; 271,802 admissions were counted, up 18.2% from the previous week. In a week which ended with Easter, theatergoers filled 96.9% of available seats, Broadway’s highest capacity to-date for the season.

The week encompassing Easter is often a boon for the industry. The week frequently ends up being the highest-grossing period of the spring season, and one of the highest of the entire season. This year was no exception; besides posting the best capacity number of the season, the week ending March 31 was the second-highest grossing week of the season, and the third-best attended week.
