Disney’s “Aladdin” has embarked on a partnership with Starr Bus Charters & Tours to create a new day trip package. Packages start at $99.50 per person and include round-trip transportation from one of two departure locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey along with tickets to a matinée performance of “Aladdin” on Broadway. The program, a representative for Disney said in a statement, is aimed at expanding access to Broadway for theatergoers in neighboring states.

Throughout the trip, an on-board tour guide will share behind-the-scenes facts about the show and the New Amsterdam Theatre. A short period of free time is also built into the trip’s schedule, allowing theatergoers to dine locally and spend time in the Theater District prior to performances.

Two upcoming departure dates have been announced thus far: Sept. 26 from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and Oct. 24 from Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. Additional departure dates are expected to be announced.

Founded in 1947, Starr Bus Charter & Tours specializes in single- and multi-day bus trips to and from the Mid-Atlantic region. It offers numerous Broadway excursion packages, including day-trip bundles that combine admission to shows like “The Lion King,” “Hamilton” and “MJ” with bus fare from various pickup points in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

“Aladdin” had its official Broadway opening at the New Amsterdam Theatre on March 20, 2014, and was nominated for five Tony Awards that season, including Best Musical. Based on the animated Disney film of the same name, “Aladdin” has since played more than 4,500 performances and launched two national tours. It is produced on Broadway by Disney Theatrical Productions.
