Broadway rebounded last week following the post-Thanksgiving dip. For the week ending Dec. 11, the 35 productions running on Broadway grossed $37,217,001, up 10% from last week, and propelling the box office to its second-best week of the 2022-2023 season. Capacity was at 87%, up 5%.

The top-three highest-grossing shows were “The Music Man,” “The Lion King” and “Wicked.” “Hamilton” and “The Phantom of the Opera” round out the top-five productions, all of which grossed at least $2 million.

Fifteen productions played to 95% capacity or greater, while only five played to less than 70%.

In its final week on Broadway, “KPOP” grossed $281,757, up 123% from the prior week. The new musical, which closed on Dec. 11, played to over 100% capacity, an increase of 40%.
