The Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction, a yearly outdoor fundraiser benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, has charted a fall return in New York City. The 39th annual outdoor event will take place on Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., with a live auction beginning at 5 p.m.

This year, the Flea Market will expand its footprint to both sides of West 44th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues. There will also be tables on West 45th Street, with the silent auction taking place in Shubert Alley and the live auction in Times Square.

At the Broadway Flea Market, theater fans can purchase discounted merchandise and engage with stars and producing organizations, unions, guilds, marketing groups, ticket agencies, concessionaires and fan clubs.

As part of the auctions, fans will have the opportunity to bid on autographed collectibles, stage-used props and costume pieces, opening-night packages and behind-the-scenes meet-and-greets with stars. Online pre-bidding will open on Sept. 5.

Also returning this year is an autograph table and a photo booth, where Broadway’s stars will gather on the deck of Junior’s restaurant to meet fans, sign autographs and take photos for donations.

Every purchase made at Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, which directly supports a safety net of essential services for those in the performing arts community and provides lifesaving medications, healthy meals, counseling, housing and more to people nationwide living with HIV/AIDS and other critical illnesses.

Last year’s Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction raised a record $1,421,675. Since 1987, the 38 editions of the event have raised more than $20.2 million.

More details about the 39th annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction — including participating tables, auction lots and special guests — will be announced after Labor Day.
