The Broadway League Foundation has announced the return of Broadway Bridges for the fall 2026 semester. Presented in partnership with New York City Public Schools and the United Federation of Teachers, the program aims to give every New York City public high school student the chance to see a Broadway show before graduating. The program offers $10 tickets to participating productions for high school 10th-graders.
This semester, 19 Broadway shows are participating in the program: “A Few Good Men,” “Aladdin,” “Buena Vista Social Club,” “Chicago,” “Hadestown,” “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” “Maybe Happy Ending,” “MJ,” “Operation Mincemeat,” “Schmigadoon!,” “SIX,” “Stranger Things: The First Shadow,” “The Great Gatsby,” “The Lion King,” “The Lost Boys,” “The Outsiders,” “Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York),” “Wanted” and “Wicked.” Ticket availability may vary by show, and performances are timed to coincide with the demands of the school calendar.
Since its 2017 launch, Broadway Bridges has offered discounted tickets to more than 170,000 New York City students and their chaperones, with 26,335 individuals participating last season. More than 12,000 tickets will be offered this fall.
“Broadway Bridges creates a moment for thousands of New York City students to come to Broadway as part of their education and discover everything live theater has to offer,” said Broadway League president Jason Laks in a statement. “As we begin another year of the program, we are grateful to the Broadway productions, educators, the United Federation of Teachers and New York City Public Schools, whose continued commitment makes these experiences possible for students across all five boroughs.”
“The opportunity to experience Broadway can be a turning point for our students,” said Michael Mulgrew, president of the United Federation of Teachers. “They see how the arts can be a career as well as a passion. None of this would be possible without our partnership with the Broadway League and the city’s Department of Education.”
The Broadway League Foundation is the charitable arm of the Broadway League, the national trade association for the commercial theater industry. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting the League’s educational, community engagement and audience access programs, including Broadway Bridges and the Jimmy Awards.
