Adrianna Hicks sets ‘SIX’ departure date

Hicks is the second queen to announce her departure this spring, following Dylan Mulvaney earlier this month.

Adrianna Hicks will make her final appearance as Catherine of Aragon in Broadway’s “SIX” on May 17, the production announced via Instagram. Hicks’ replacement has yet to be announced.

Hicks originated the role of Catherine of Aragon on Broadway. She has since returned to the show twice: first from November 2024 to February 2025; Hicks later rejoined the musical along with fellow original cast member Anna Uzele beginning on Feb. 16, 2026.

Hicks is one of two queens set to depart the production this May. Dylan Mulvaney, who made her Broadway debut in the role of Anne Boleyn alongside Hicks’ return on Feb. 16, will leave “SIX” on May 31. Mulvaney will be replaced by Pentatonix’s Kirstin Maldonado.

“SIX” centers on fictionalized versions of the six ex-wives of King Henry VIII, who are reimagined as a pop group. “SIX” began previews at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (now the Lena Horne Theatre) on February 13, 2020. The Broadway shutdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the musical’s original planned opening date until October 3, 2021. That year, “SIX” was nominated for eight Tony Awards, winning two including Best Original Score for Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss.

“SIX” has since embarked on U.K. and North American tours, and has been performed in 16 countries worldwide. On August 14, “SIX The Musical Live,” a capture of the original West End cast, will receive a theatrical release in the U.S.
