The Actors Fund re-elected actor Brian Stokes Mitchell as chairman Wednesday and appointed two new board members.
Greg Berlanti, a television producer and creator of series such as “Everwood” and “Supergirl,” and Chandra Wilson, an actor known for her role as Miranda Bailey on “Grey’s Anatomy,” were approved as members of the board of trustees.
During the pandemic, the Actors Fund has distributed more than $21.6 million in direct financial assistance to more than 16,300 entertainment arts professionals. In addition to providing financial assistance, the organization offers members of the art community education and information on health insurance enrollment, career counseling, health care and assistance finding affordable housing.
