The American Theatre Wing’s online interview program “Tony Awards First Impressions Cam” has been nominated for a 2026 Webby Award in the Video & Film — Interview, Talk & After-Show category. The program, which is presented by City National Bank, features backstage interviews with Tony winners conducted immediately after they accept their awards.
The 2025 edition of “First Impressions Cam” was hosted by Tony winner Bonnie Milligan and included interviews with Michael Arden, Darren Criss, Cole Escola, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Nicole Scherzinger, Sam Pinkleton, Sarah Snook and Paul Tazewell, among others.
Since 1996, the Webbys have recognized excellence in online content. Webbys are awarded to websites, social media, advertising and online videos. Webby winners are decided by a judging body of over 3,000 industry professionals, and presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.
The 2024 edition of “First Impressions Cam,” hosted by Erich Bergen, was previously recognized as an honoree for that year’s Webbys.
Nominated in the same Webbys category are the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” YouTube channel, “Scrambled with Gordon Ramsay” cooking series, “The Darkroom MCs” photography series and a Newsweek video interview with Academy Award-winning director Spike Lee.
As a Webbys nominee, “First Impressions Cam” is also eligible to win the Webby People’s Voice Award, which is selected by public vote. Webby winners will be announced on April 21 and honored in a ceremony at Cipriani’s Wall Street location.
