A new coworking space has opened with the intention of gathering those who make live theater. Called Creative Collective @ 1441, the business is located at 1441 Broadway in Times Square. The office opened in April; most tenants moved in during October and November.
The space offers private offices, shared workstations, meeting rooms and flexible creative-friendly spaces designed for the needs and collaboration of theatermakers, producers, general managers, designers, entertainment attorneys, artists and allied businesses.
Creative Collective @ 1441 is designed to be a practical home for theatrical businesses, a place where companies can run day-to-day operations, meet with collaborators and tap into a community of theater-industry specialists.
“A dedicated theater-first workspace in Times Square fills a real gap for producers, companies and freelance creatives who need professional office services and would prefer to be surrounded by industry-aligned colleagues,” said Cody Lassen, one of the office’s founding members, in a statement. “We built the Collective to make it easier to develop work, run productions and connect with the many partners needed to bring shows to life.”
Current tenants include Access Broadway, Broadway & Beyond Theatricals, Care4Creatives, Cody Lassen & Associates, Design Contact, Eric S. Goldman, Emlex Entertainment, Entertainment Law LLC, JW Theatrical, KGM Theatrical, Kokoro Consultants, Martian Entertainment, MTTM Theatrics, Neil Gooding Productions, Rialto Records and the Harriet Tubman Effect.
Leasing inquiries and a full list of tenants are available through the Collective’s website.
