The Actors Fund Home of Englewood, New Jersey is entering a new phase, having recently been classified as a 501(c)(3) and an affiliate of the Entertainment Community Fund, supported by a newly formed board of trustees. That board is led by Lee H. Perlman, executive vice president of the Greater New York Hospital Association.
“The Actors Fund Home board and honorary council are committed to strengthening the Home’s legacy of exceptional care and ensuring that those who contributed so much to our community and culture receive the necessary support, compassion and dignity they deserve,” said Perlman, president of the board, in a statement.
Joining Perlman on the board are Ruthi Byrne, Brian Clarkson, Jon Crowley, Jeff T. Daniel, Peter C. Harvey, Marshall Jones, III, Dina Karmazin Elkins, Scott Landis, Kathleen Marshall, John McEwen, Kevin O’Brien, John Schreiber, Abby Schroeder, Jeff Silberstein and Abraham Wolf. Also contributing to the board are executive director of the Actors Fund Home Jordan Strohl, Entertainment Community Fund president and CEO Joseph Benincasa, as well as its chief operating officer Barbara Davis and chief financial officer Connie Yoo.
Furthermore, newly announced is the formation of an honorary council of the facility, committed to continuing the legacy of exceptional care and service provided to residents. That council is led by Actors’ Equity president Brooke Shields and also consists of Cory Booker, Chris Christie, Richard Codey, Jon Corzine, Patrick Diegnan, Donald DiFrancesco, Josh Gottheimer, Gordon Johnson, Thomas H. Kean, Andy Kim, Jim McGreevey, Nellie Pou, James Tedesco, Michael Wildes, Christine Todd Whitman and Andrew Zwicker.
Located in Englewood, NJ, the Actors Fund Home is a short-term rehabilitation and long-term care facility for workers in the entertainment industry, including designers, writers, sound technicians, musicians, dancers, administrators, directors, film editors, stagehands, actors and more. It provides services to those in the performing arts and the entertainment community in need of skilled nursing, assisted living, memory and short-stay rehabilitation.
