Production Resource Group has appointed Lawrence Burian as its chief executive officer. Burian, formerly chief operating officer at LIV Golf, will replace interim CEO Carl Vogel effective April 13, and will also join PRG’s board of directors.
Prior to his time at LIV Golf, Burian served in several senior leadership positions throughout the Madison Square Garden (MSG) family of companies, including as an executive vice president and general counsel at MSG Networks, and as an executive vice president of corporate development at both MSG Sports and MSG Entertainment.
“We are pleased to welcome Lawrence to PRG at this pivotal moment for the company and the live experiences industry,” said PRG board member Lauren Krueger in a statement. “With nearly three decades of leadership experience across entertainment, sports, media and hospitality, Lawrence brings deep operational expertise and a strong track record of guiding complex, high-profile organizations through periods of transformation and expansion.”
“PRG has an extraordinary legacy of creativity and technical excellence,” Burian added. “We will continue to differentiate ourselves through relentless customer service and by deepening the long-term partnerships that fuel our success. PRG is well positioned to grow while continuing to deliver for our clients and remain a place where people can do their best work.”
PRG provides video, lighting, rigging, staging, set, automation and virtual systems to TV, film and live entertainment productions internationally. Its recent Broadway credits include “Chess,” “Liberation” and “Ragtime.” PRG also provided scenic, automation, lighting and audio services for “Masquerade,” the Off-Broadway immersive staging of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera.”
