Production Resource Group (PRG) has appointed Darren Pfeffer as its chief commercial officer as of April 13. In the newly created position, Pfeffer will oversee PRG’s revenue strategy, charged with driving growth, deepening client relationships and expanding the production services provider’s position in the global marketplace. He will report directly to PRG’s CEO, Lawrence Burian.
“PRG has built something rare in this industry: a truly global operation with the people, the inventory and the expertise to deliver at any scale,” said Pfeffer in a statement. “I’ve worked alongside this team from multiple sides of the business and have long admired what they’ve built. I’m excited to be part of what comes next.”
Burian added, “Darren brings a perspective few people in this industry have — he’s seen how the best productions come together from the rights-holder side, the venue side and the production management side. That experience is exactly what we need as we continue to grow.”
Pfeffer boasts almost 30 years of leadership experience in live entertainment, venue management and business oversight. From 2024 to 2026, he served as president of Diversified Production Services, where he provided full-service production services to live events including the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the Global Citizen Festival and multiple Super Bowl halftime shows. Prior to that, Pfeffer was the executive vice president of MSG Live at the Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corporation, overseeing the organization’s live entertainment portfolio and growing his division’s profitability, market share and bookings. He has also held senior leadership positions at iHeartMedia.
PRG is a full-service technology provider for the entertainment industry with a special focus on live events. It has contributed to Broadway’s “Chess,” “Ragtime,” “Death Becomes Her,” “Liberation” and “Purpose,” in addition to numerous Off-Broadway, West End, and touring productions.
